Like the architects he works with, Josh enjoys creating better places by focusing on the people who inhabit them. But as the leader of our HR function, his methods are different. Josh is responsible for developing and executing a people strategy that allows Corgan to thrive — specifically the attraction, retention, and development of talent. He sees his role as one that largely serves others. “We are internal consultants, and as such, we are here to guide and advise so that those we serve can achieve great success,” he says.
Josh believes culture is what truly sets an organization apart from others. He’s motivated by a desire to “develop cultures that empower people to be the best version of themselves, believe in the mission of the firm, and give freely of their discretionary effort to ensure the best levels of service and product for our clients and communities.” Over his 28-year career, he’s most proud of the teams he has helped build and the young HR professionals he’s mentored — not to mention the many programs and policies he has developed and implemented for Corgan.
Josh is passionate about his family, sports, and exercise — all of which “bring him joy and peace,” he says. “They keep me energized, connected, and sharp.”
