With 20 years of experience, Mike Aziz is a Principal and Urban, Campus & Culture Sector Leader in Corgan’s New York studio. He leads work at the intersection of sustainable growth, strategic planning, and community-focused design integrating architectural excellence with forward-looking development strategies that prioritize long-term resilience.
He has directed major development initiatives including the Downtown Sacramento River District, Brooklyn Waterfront Redevelopment and Boston Innovation District. Mike’s portfolio also includes master plans for The George Washington University, Georgia State University and the University of Maryland. In addition to his design leadership, Mike has shared his expertise as a lecturer and guest critic at Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, the New York Institute of Technology and Yale University.
A registered architect and LEED Accredited Professional, Mike holds degrees from the University of Maryland and the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is the author of Reshaping Gentrification: An Urban Design Proposal for the Redevelopment of Columbia Heights (VDM Publishers, 2010) and was named to BD+C’s 40 Under 40 list of industry leaders in 2019.
