Derek Wood is an Associate Principal in Corgan’s Office practice based in Washington DC. His experience spans master planning, corporate commercial build‑to‑suit work, and extensive expertise in reinventing or recycling existing buildings to maximize value and performance.
Derek is widely recognized for his leadership in Building Information Modeling (BIM), with numerous publications on how digital processes transform the way teams design, construct, and manage building environments.
Derek earned a Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of English and Fine Arts from Dickinson College. He is a Registered Architect in Washington, DC, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is NCARB certified. Derek is also a LEED Accredited Professional and an active member of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).
