Our Atlanta Studio
Drawing inspiration from tools architects use — sketchbooks, line drawings, and grids -— provided the design direction for Corgan’s new Atlanta office. A growing team and list of regional clients gave the office an opportunity to move into a larger space while exploring creative solutions for added functionality and capacity. Anchored by a grid pattern with a three-dimensional square, the office is connected by a spirit of collaboration, comfort, and creativity.
A neutral palette and layered soft whites set the stage for residentially inspired furnishings, oversized lighting, felt wall coverings, and warm wood tones — reserving the only pop of yellow for the Corgan logo. This minimal background eases visual sightlines and complements the natural light spilling into the space. It's a backdrop that lets the studio's most-used spaces do the talking: a popular lounge area outfitted with comfortable finishes and furnishings encourages casual and intentional connection, while a simple, uncluttered materials library houses swatches and samples alongside a large worktable where designers gather to collaborate.
That same grid structure shapes rows of boxes that form meeting spaces, private offices, and wellness rooms throughout the studio, while a glass-encased conference room, framed by geometric mullions, breaks the pattern with color blocks splashed across walls and floors — a moment that spills beyond the grid lines and ties directly into the studio's "overflowing with creativity" theme. Beyond just aesthetics, the office is a testament to the firm's value of balance — bringing to life dynamic, creative, agile design grounded in a human-centric approach.
