A humble building embracing nature and reflective of the humble company values.
Freeman envisioned its headquarters as a vehicle for dismantling hierarchy and enhancing departmental connectivity. This humble building, expressive of an open, creative spirit, is a simple tilt-wall box broken to reveal a delicate and transparent glass volume at essential communal spaces. Blurring the lines between outside and inside, the building sits within the canopies of the existing heritage trees, allowing the preservation of nature with the simple expression that Freeman embodies. Upon entering the building, an open atrium becomes an ever-buzzing space, flanked by stairs and crossed by bridges. This design provides transparency to everyone who enters, capturing Freeman at work.
