Corgan’s Orlando Studio
A studio rooted in the Florida landscape
Bright, open, and shaped by local culture and landscape, Corgan’s Orlando studio translates the character of Central Florida into a modern workplace designed for collaboration and connection — a setting that reflects the creative ambition of both the team and the region. Inspired by the measured rows of Florida’s signature citrus groves, the studio balances structure and vitality, creating a place where ideas take root and grow.
Located at The Exchange on Orange in downtown Orlando, the 20,000-square-foot studio was designed by Corgan’s interiors team. Contemporary lines, landscape-inspired details, and nods to local culture bring a distinct sense of place to a workplace designed for creativity and collaboration.
A layout for collaboration and creativity
A large, welcoming lobby opens into a light-filled, deliberately minimal reception, a calm counterpoint to the colorful accents found elsewhere throughout the office. The furnishings bring most of the color to the space, while an accent wall of plaster with metal inlays anchors the reception desk, adding texture, interest, and rhythm. Pops of green, orange, and blue, drawn from the Florida landscape, are paired with warm wood finishes on the workstations and ceiling grids while metal surfaces add a crisp counterpoint. Together, the palette creates a warm, balanced atmosphere throughout the space.
Beyond reception, the layout reflects the order of a citrus grove. Workspaces are arranged in clearly defined neighborhoods that evoke trees planted in measured rows and are linked by intuitive circulation paths. Overhead, varied ceiling types and layered lighting recall the sheltered feeling of a grove’s leafy canopy, shifting subtly in character from one area to the next.
Within the open office, pin-up walls line the circulation paths, inviting the team to share ideas in progress and encouraging spontaneous conversations among colleagues. The studio includes 84 workstations, with space to expand. For focused work, quiet individual workspaces are located off the main corridor along with three office-sized huddle rooms that offer flexibility for future conversions as the studio grows. The office also features four conference rooms are named after local lakes and bodies of water.
Spaces for innovation and learning
Hands-on design is central to the Orlando practice: a materials library and a dedicated model shop equipped for 3D printing and fabrication support movement between sketches, physical models, and virtual reality before refining projects digitally. Architectural models are displayed throughout the studio, reaffirming the firm’s commitment to design excellence.
At the center of the studio, a teaching area with stadium seating opens to the work cafe and is designed for presentations and events. An operable partition between the multipurpose room and the work café can be opened or closed, allowing the space to shift between private meetings and more open, social settings.
The work café is designed to be fully reconfigurable. All furniture, including the island, is moveable, allowing the Orlando team to rearrange the café as the studio’s needs evolve. Within the café, booths provide natural gathering spaces for staff, from dining to impromptu meetings.
Art with a sense of place
Artwork throughout the studio reinforces a sense of place. Located in reception, a custom large-scale photography series was created for the Orlando studio; each image pairs architectural materials from Corgan’s materials library with Orlando’s native flora, including orange branches and fruit, wetland grasses, and other regional plants, arranged as still-life compositions and set in wood float frames.
Near the wellness and mother’s room, a series of retro-style framed postcards designed by Corgan’s Brand + Graphics team celebrates the region’s attractions and lakes alongside the Corgan brand.
Thoughtful details also define the studio’s smaller spaces. Individual phone rooms showcase a colorful, dimensional felt installation that enhances both acoustics and aesthetics, and private offices display Corgan project photography chosen by the occupant.
A lasting presence in Central Florida
Shaped by the order, shelter, and abundance of the state’s citrus grove, Corgan’s Orlando studio represents a lasting investment in the city and the region beyond. The result is a workplace where people, ideas, and relationships across the region can continue to grow and flourish for years to come.
