Elevated urban living

Nestled within a premier mixed-use development in Fort Worth’s rapidly growing west side, the Westside Village Residences introduces a new standard for sophisticated urban living. This seven-story multifamily podium project, featuring over 300 high-end residential units, is the foundational piece of a comprehensive master plan development that encompasses retail, restaurants, entertainment, and office.

Setting the benchmark for a luxurious lifestyle, Westside Village prioritizes the resident experience. Curated offerings include a pool and amenity deck and a seventh-floor sky lounge with a rooftop terrace that offers panoramic city views. Corgan’s design blends refined residences with community through vibrant ground-level retail and culinary experiences.

The destination is in the details

Visioning for the design focused on community values, quality, and differentiation to make the development a destination neighborhood. The client wanted a building that would stand the test of time, both in quality and appearance. Durable, timeless materials are used throughout the project, with an emphasis on texture, depth, and detail that is not seen in typical multifamily developments.

To keep the building from feeling imposing from the street, its massing is broken down into smaller pieces that feel more organic and natural. Use of masonry and stone, stepbacks from the podium, and large window openings all help to soften the façade. At the ground level, retail and dining spaces give life to the pedestrian experience. Walkability of the development is further enhanced by landscaping with native plants in the generous setback from the roads.

In addition to the more traditional retail spaces at the ground floor, the design includes shopfront homes that feature dedicated retail space at level one and live-work units that are suitable for more casual businesses with family living space above. The rest of the residential units include flats, studios, and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. Parking is tucked beneath the residential podium, hiding it from public view but keeping it convenient for residents and visitors.

Abundant amenities

The welcoming double-height lobby sets the tone for the residential experience, where each detail and amenity is thoughtfully planned to be both functional and desirable. A co-working space above the lobby includes phone rooms, conference rooms and personal studios to suit any type of work.

Two courtyards on the third level are connected by a breezeway allowing ease of access while preserving their unique functions. The more active courtyard, comprising an outdoor pool, cabanas and landscaping, opens up over Tillar Street and its views of downtown Fort Worth. Just off the pool deck, residents can enjoy the indoor game room and lounge, fitness center and wellness area with sauna and cold plunge. The design intentionally shelters the second courtyard within the building to provide tenants with a quieter, more private space featuring fire pits, comfortable seating, a bar, and an outdoor yoga lawn.

On the seventh floor, the shaded terrace overlooks the city and gives all residents a private outdoor space. Will also include fire pits and green roof. Also on the top floor, an indoor “sky lounge,” complete with catering kitchen, was included to serve as an event space for large groups or events.

Elevated yet authentic

Situated in a formerly industrial area, the look and feel of the building takes its cues from textures found in the neighborhood. Rather than chasing trends, the design uses steel windows, warm brick, natural stone, and intentional plantings to create warmth and complexity. Architectural details like arches, articulated lintels, and stone cornices evoke historic residential architecture.

Inside the units, the design team focused on layouts that are efficient, beautiful, and functional. Well-designed bathrooms, ample closets, and thoughtfully arranged kitchens are all purposefully aligned to fit the way people actually live. Large windows maximize views as well as the natural light in each unit. Elevated appliance packages, stone counter tops, and high-end fixtures were used, making the spaces both desirable and durable.

The Westside Village residences are poised to set the district’s tone for quality and experience, cultivating a sophisticated urban hub — a personal haven for residents, balanced with community connection.  Timeless design, thoughtful planning and quality construction make for a lasting destination that the community can be proud of.
