Blending old and new to transform the campus.
Originally built in 1958, Tyler Legacy High School had gone through six additions in the last 60 years and needed a replacement. Over 430,000 SF of new construction was added and over 72,000 SF was renovated in multiple phases to keep the campus in operation throughout the project. The result is a transformed campus, and a collaborative, student-centered educational environment that seamlessly blends new construction with renovated spaces.
The collegiate exterior conveys permanence and order, while inside the feel is modern, open and dynamic. A generous central courtyard anchors the design and provides clear wayfinding and outdoor learning opportunities adjacent to instruction and maker spaces.

Traditional Georgian architecture reflects a collegiate campus, while a 21st century learning environment prepares students for the real-world by developing interpersonal and intrapersonal skill sets.

Corgan has been partnering with Tyler ISD for almost 20 years. We have enjoyed a productive partnership with this firm on many design and planning projects during this time. Most recently, Corgan worked with our district to program and conceptually master plan the replacement of our two comprehensive high schools.
