A new headquarters that reflects a legacy

For more than 60 years, Susser Bank has provided personal and commercial banking solutions across Texas, guided by the company's founding principles of purpose, legacy, and excellence. Corgan has a long-standing relationship with Susser, having previously designed interiors for the bank's branches across the state — making Corgan the natural choice for the new headquarters at Old Parkland in Dallas. The new headquarters reflects the bank’s sophistication and client service standards and is thoughtfully designed to showcase Susser's art collection of personal and bank-owned art.

Contemporary interiors for a modern workplace

The client envisioned a modern, pristine environment — a bank that James Bond would bank in — without feeling cold or sterile.

Set within Old Parkland’s traditional, neoclassical architecture, the bank’s interior introduces contemporary finishes and clean lines. The crisp palette intentionally serves as a backdrop, allowing the art collection to lead the way — a role that every material choice was made to support. White walls turn corridors into gallery-like spaces while large format marble slab flooring and walls ground the lobby.

This sleek finish out and modern atmosphere is detailed throughout: glass corners in private offices increase visibility; the boardroom features back-painted glass and a perforated acoustical gypsum ceiling; tall ceilings are brought to a human scale with thoughtfully placed, asymmetrical light fixtures that interplay with natural light. Further, contemporary workplace furnishings include smooth leather, metals, and textures.

Attention to art

Passionate art collectors, the client wanted works from their curated art collections prominently displayed throughout the new headquarters.

Corgan’s interiors team worked closely with Susser Bank’s in-house art consultant for lighting placement, acoustics, wall blocking, and art tracking throughout the space. Corgan’s Band+Graphics team produced custom room name plates and glass film for each area of the office.

Because the collection is rotated regularly, infrastructure was implemented to accommodate seamless transitions. Cable and track hanging systems allow the art to be updated without damaging the walls or the acoustics; the lighting adjusts to suit each new arrangement.

Art extends well beyond the client-facing spaces, with pieces from the collection placed in hallways, workstation areas, and the employee breakroom, ensuring that no space feels overlooked.

An enduring impression

The new Susser Bank headquarters embodies the same standards that the bank holds for its business: precise, considered, and built to last.
