Expanding the learning experience.
The new IDEA Center (Integrated Design, Engineering, and Arts) and natatorium were keystone elements of a campus-wide revitalization which advanced existing programs and provided new opportunities for students. The site design and form of the building masses were informed primarily by the existing chapel at the heart of the campus. A celebration of natural materials, expansive views, and historic artwork inspire current and prospective students.
Natatorium
The natatorium features a 25-meter, ten lane swimming pool with a competition diving platform and elevated spectator seating. Its iconic design takes advantage of a clear view from the highway to elevate the stature of Nolan Catholic to North Texas, with continued integration of the natural materials and forms set as a precedent for the campus.
