Jane Ruestmann Elementary School, Argyle ISD

Supporting 850 students, Jane Ruestmann Elementary School is designed around a central learning courtyard and library that are the focus of the school. Each corridor is designated with its own color and shape to enforce a sense of unity and clarity of wayfinding. These shapes and colors merge in the library, cafeteria, and gymnasium to reinforce these areas as communal spaces for all. The school's materials were chosen to compliment the surrounding community, emphasizing this as a neighborhood school.
