Chase’s premium Sapphire Lounge at LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) introduces travelers to New York with entertaining spaces and best-in-class amenities. Guests can enjoy localized food and beverages, luxuriate in wellness rooms and private suites, and escape the throngs of airport crowds with pre-flight check-in and valet services. The collaborative effort between Corgan as the Lead Design Architect and Architect of Record and ICRAVE, the Conceptual Designer & Brand Architect (NorthStar Experience Strategy), elevates the passenger experience, drawing inspiration from New York’s iconic park system and vibrant nightlife.
Natural elements bring spaces to life
The design team rose to the challenge, creating a flagship lounge within an existing space with low ceiling constraints and without windows. To recreate the feeling of natural daylight and replace outdoor views, the design team reimagined the space with innovative and creative design solutions. Carving out floor plates opened the space to create lofty double-height volumes and room for a second-floor mezzanine. Organic shapes and plan materials connect to nature and nod to New York’s famous park system.
Luxurious comfort and hospitality
The lounge has a fully stocked circular bar serving NYC signature cocktails and coffees. Guests can grab a front-row seat to the culinary action at the chef’s table in the well-appointed exposition kitchen or else adjourn to the lounge to relax by the fireplace. For those needing to catch up on work between flights, the productivity zone offers soundproof booths and nooks to plug in their laptops.

Parents wanting a place to unwind can go to the family zone with a seating area and space for children to play.
Fun, relaxation, and connection
For even more entertainment, guests can duck into a classic game room with a New York-inspired photo booth, jukebox, and collectibles and play shuffleboard and pinball. Rest pods and wellness treatment rooms pamper travelers with mini-facials and chair massages. Adding another level of exclusivity, the second-floor mezzanine elevates the hospitality experience with private suites reserved for intimate social gatherings where guests can order food and drinks from a specialty menu.
An elevated, exclusive airport experience
Bypassing security checkpoints, the lounge offers TSA PreCheck to passengers. Those members who reserve private suites are privy to a lounge-to-gate experience, picked up on the tarmac by a private car and taken directly to their flight. The sophisticated decor, elevated amenities, and best-in-class service set the gold standard for future Chase lounges inviting members and guests to travel in style.
