AlTi Tiedemann Global’s relocation to 22 Vanderbilt — just steps from Grand Central Terminal — marked a pivotal moment in the firm’s evolution following its 2023 acquisition and IPO. Surrounded by the architectural icons of Midtown, the move offered more than a new address; it was a chance to translate AlTi Tiedemann Global’s identity into a physical space. In early visioning sessions, Corgan’s design team identified three guiding principles to shape the project: genuine, connected, and evolving. These values informed every decision — from planning to palette — resulting in a workplace that balances hospitality and focus, presence and adaptability.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic Art Deco motifs of nearby landmarks like the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings, the design emphasizes pronounced geometry and verticality in the reception area, archways, and lighting — creating moments of elegance and spatial drama.
A custom-designed reception desk anchors the space, its curved form and horizontal lines echoing the streamlined architecture of the 1920s, blending historical reference with contemporary sophistication.
Fan-like details, emblematic of the Art Deco style, are thoughtfully integrated throughout other areas of the project, enhancing the cohesive aesthetic. Further inside, color-drenched rooms introduce immersive, emotionally distinct experiences, reinforcing the company’s layered identity while anchoring the project in the city’s unique juxtaposition of grit and grandeur.

It's Up to You
A key challenge of the program was balancing the need for 50 private offices with the desire for openness and connection. The team studied multiple planning schemes, landing on an approach with private offices clustered around corner cores while maintaining visual connectivity across the central atrium. This maximized density without compromising daylight or views — maintaining long, unobstructed sight lines along the perimeter and across the atrium, giving every workspace access to natural light.
Right There in Old New York
Through intentional spatial planning, rich contextual references, and meaningful collaboration, Corgan crafted a workspace that is both grounded and aspirational: rooted in AlTi Tiedemann Global’s legacy and aligned with their vision for the future, down to the finishing touches. As a nod to their history, several pieces of art from the old office are showcased in the new space, including a portrait of their late founder and CEO, Carl Tiedemann.
The design channels the spirit of the city into a workplace that embodies the energy and elegance of New York — refined, textural, and timeless. Drawing from the city’s architectural legacy and layered visual language, the design blends the firm’s institutional heritage with a vibrant, future-facing identity. The result is a workplace that honors where they’ve been while creating space for who they can become.
