What architect/designer/project most inspires you and why?

My great uncle Joe Shaughnessy, who was a well-known architect in Kansas City. I think Uncle Joe would be pleased that someone in the family continues his passion for architecture, even though I might not be an architect myself.

What would surprise people most about you?

I’m extremely superstitious. Black cat crosses my path, I turn around… salt spills on the table, it’s over my shoulder. Mirror breaks? Don’t even get me started...

What has been your favorite project to work on at Corgan and why?

I have several favorites, wouldn’t be fair to say! I love my job because I get to work on so many amazing project pursuits with all of our market sectors. Right now, I’m working on a social media campaign in order to increase our presence, which has been really fun and a great learning experience.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

To be happy with yourself, just the way you are. You can’t be happy in life if you don’t know and accept yourself…no matter how silly, crazy, wonderful, dramatic you may be. There is a quote that I love, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”
