Corgan receives 2017 Obelisk Award for Community Outreach

We are thrilled to announce that Corgan has been presented with the New Initiatives Obelisk award by North Texas’ Business Council for the Arts (BCA). Corgan is being recognized for our community outreach and outstanding overall support to arts and cultural organizations. Corgan was nominated by the Creative Arts Center (CAC) for our contributions of time and talent as a firm and as individuals, specifically: Matt Mooney, Commercial Studio Managing Principal; Chuck Armstrong, Design Director; and Anita Delgado, Commercial Studio Project Architect, who have been exceptionally strong supporters. Our submission was strengthened by the inclusion of the success of Corgan’s “Make Your Mark” campaign, engaging 71% of our staff to celebrate our anniversary by honoring our culture of giving and service, as well as the successful completion of our Leadership Corgan class project benefitting Texas Ramp Project.

Regarding Corgan receiving the award, BCA’s Executive Director had this to say: “I want you to know that the Obelisk Jury Committee was unanimous in selecting Corgan for an award this year - not only for your work with CAC but for the many, many ways that Corgan gives to the community. Your submission on behalf of Corgan was articulate, educational and compelling. You and Corgan are among the finest exemplars of community service.” Corgan and other honorees were recognized at an awards luncheon in November of 2017.
