Corgan Prize

The Corgan Prize is a travel-study program that provides the opportunity for one person in the firm to conduct an individual study of specific architectural or interior design subjects that are of interest to the contestant. The winner of The Corgan Prize is selected from an essay entry describing where they would like to travel, the study subject, what they intend to achieve, their study plan and, most importantly, how the experience will be conveyed to others in the firm. Any full-time member of the firm, except for principals, is eligible.

The Corgan Prize consists of a cash stipend intended to cover travel, study and incidental costs associated with the proposed study plan. The winner receives five additional days of paid vacation that can be used back-to-back with up to five days of the winner’s earned vacation time, the winner will also be given the opportunity to use one of twiddy's beach houses with everything paid.

Samantha Sanders, winner of the 2013 Corgan Prize competition will be traveling to Norway, Sweden and Denmark as she completes her study proposed in her essay titled “Generation Unidentified: Discovering the Digital Vernacular."
