Corgan at Uber Elevate Summit 2018

Corgan at Uber Elevate Summit 2018

Uber invited Corgan to unveil our concepts for the infrastructure needed to support and scale their UberAir service at this year’s Elevate Summit in Los Angeles.

At the “Skyport Architecture Reimagined” session on May 9th, John Trupiano, a Principal in Corgan’s Aviation studio will share our big design ideas, concepts and renderings for the infrastructure needed to achieve massive throughput and get Uber’s fleet of eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and land) off the ground.

While the details of our designs are under-wraps until after our presentation, we can tell you that our ideas address and solve two major issues: how to hyperscale for mass adoption and how to integrate a community asset on a tight footprint while minimizing added noise and intrusion.

The Corgan team is thrilled and honored to participate alongside some of the most innovative minds in the industry this week. “It’s a very exciting time to visualize what could be and share big ideas that can help make these concepts become a reality,” says John.

Advancing aerial travel is part of Corgan’s heritage and has motivated recent research related to designing the holdroom of the future, advanced wayfinding techniques and circadian tuned lighting.  For more information and to see renderings of Corgan’s Skyport design presented at Uber Elevate this week, check back after we wrap our presentation on Wednesday!
