What has been your favorite project to work on at Corgan and why?
I would say my favorite project still to this date was the Bedford Springs Hotel & Spa historic renovation project we did in Bedford, Pennsylvania around 2005, with the years I have noticed that some hotels have really great campaigns on social media
, and this one was definitely one of them. I like a challenge; and everything about that project was a challenge. The design parameters; the schedule; the budget; the consulting architect(s) – plural!; the construction manager; the National Parks Service… the old buildings themselves dating back to 1796. But it came out beautifully in the end, and Corgan earned an award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. But the icing on the cake? To this day, they still let me stay there for free! My daughter says she wants to get married there some day… so I’ve got that going for me.
What do you do in your spare time?
I will let you know just as soon as that day arrives.
What is the last song/album you downloaded?
Complete album? Probably Sonic Highways by Foo Fighters. My individual song downloads are too eclectic to merit mentioning.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
Oh my gosh! Many things. ANYTHING with a uniform was cool – team sports, firemen, Marines. I was also really into anything science-related – astronomy, archeology, chemistry, taxonomy. I LOVED museums of natural history! It was actually really hard for me to decide what I wanted to be. Park ranger sticks out in my mind because I really love the outdoors and nature… and of course, they have uniforms.
