Toyota’s new North American Headquarters consolidates teams from three locations across the country and is designed to house approximately 7,000 employees across seven individual office buildings. Given the sheer size of the campus and to gain the full benefit of the co-location, team members are encouraged to use amenities that are strategically located along a central ‘loop’ surrounding the courtyard. The campus features an 850-person dining commons, healthcare clinic, fitness center, multi-purpose knowledge center, 500-person large gathering space, pharmacy, museum and conference center. The project is LEED Platinum certified and features more than 20,000 solar panels which cut the campus’s annual carbon emissions by over 7,000 metric tons. Branding the campus as the embodiment of the One Toyota philosophy, indoor/outdoor connection, daylighting and views are all key elements carefully woven together. Toyota’s North American Headquarters is the winner of the Community Impact Deal of the Year Award (D CEO 2015).
