Neiman Marcus utilized Corgan for architecture and interior design services for multiple projects at multiple Neiman office locations across Downtown Dallas. From the beginning, Neiman's main concern was finding ways to better align teams and departments in one space. Neiman Marcus wanted to connect employees by floor, building and across the city, showcasing Neiman's brand in their space and bringing their workplace into the 21st century. We designed a space that has a natural and intuitive flow. The design team created layers of different conference rooms such as casual collision points, touch base spaces, open meeting rooms such as the Lipstick Lounge, closed huddle rooms and scalable conference rooms. To continue focus on the Neiman Marcus brand, the team designed a space to celebrate fashion yet allow the fashion of the day to shine through. For example, the carpet used resembles a men's wool suit.
Through this effort, Neimans was able to align internal teams and departments, establishing more efficient adjacency and connections of associates by floor, building and across the region. While embracing the uniqueness of each facility, we eliminated physical barriers between the associates, aligned the work environment with job functions, flooded spaces with daylight and created a stage to support all facets of fashion design.
