The new international terminal provides supplemental international passenger processing capability through 12-widebody gates served by a new landside terminal roadway system and garage. The terminal connects with the existing terminal and concourses, 28-existing gates, by way of a people-mover extension and passenger walkways, creating a 40-gate complex that contains full US Customs and Border Patrol facilities capable of processing 2,500 passengers per hour. The design results in a functional and operationally efficient terminal with clear, intuitive wayfinding and flexible arrangement of terminal interiors to accommodate industry changes, and concessions. The architectural aesthetic is transparent, appropriately scaled and clearly organized. Corgan provided terminal planning services and design leadership.
