Corgan is the prime firm, architect of record and the lead designer on the Concourse A expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Corgan is the prime consultant on the Terminal 1 renovation/expansion with GS&P serving as a sub-consultant and architect of record. Corgan led the development of a new Concourse A with five swing gates capable of accommodating both domestic and/or international operations. Concourse A includes an 800 pax/hour CBP with related sterile collecting corridors, meeter and greeter lobby, major concessions expansion, airline support spaces, five new holdrooms and the expansion of two others and the associated aircraft paving. The existing Terminal 1 is being expanded airside to include a combined single larger more efficient security checkpoint and an increased concessions offering.
