A destination for culture, focus, and collaboration

When Darktrace relocated its New York office to the 47th floor at One Manhattan West, the London-based cybersecurity company was afforded creative freedom to express its brand identity and incorporate strategic new ways of working and engaging its evolving hybrid workforce. Tripling in size, the company entrusted our Interiors Studio to transfigure the abundant space into a robust ratio of focus work seats, open-plan collaborative work zones, and generous meeting spaces to support team building, collaboration, and connection. The future-proof design provides an amenity-rich environment to both welcome clients and entice hybrid workers to work in-house.

European style with New York sensibility

Darktrace desired a style all its own featuring touches of London with a Scandinavian flair. The building lends architectural details like column-free floor plates, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows curved around the perimeter that invite excellent light into the airy space. The reception area greets guests with a hospitality coffee bar and spacious lounge. Warm wood tones against a white and neutral color pallet with angular bold lines reference the company’s brand logo while modern industrial light fixtures and baffle ceilings contribute to the sophisticated yet casual loft-inspired aesthetic. Beyond the security entrance, sofas and chairs face spectacular views of the cityscape for connection to the newest up-and-coming west side neighborhood.

A flexible and adaptable environment

Employees have a say over how and where they work with private phone booths for focus work, high-topped tables, and smaller lounge zones designed to converse and connect. Designated collaborative work zones with innovative technology support project work with a mix of open worktables, lounges, and bench seating that encourage interaction between teams. Metal and glass fronts on offices and large conference rooms fitting up to 24 people provide elevated meeting spaces for training, collaborative work, and client meetings.

A pantry and work café with an adjacent work hub provide various seating setups and communal settings for informal social gatherings and company-wide meetings. The carefully curated workplace in this exceptional urban location allows employees to tap into their creative expression with spaces designed to accommodate the firm’s global growth.
